I’m a stylist – this royal has transformed into epitome of sophistication | Royal | News

Princess Eugenie has often been criticised for her style in years gone by, but according to one style expert, the royal’s fashion choices have “evolved hugely” in recent years.

According to Alex Longmore, Eugenie – who is a mum of two boys aged three and 10 months – has really found her style and a “stylised approach to dressing”.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ms Longmore looked back on how much Eugenie was criticised over her Vivienne Westwood dress for the Prince and Princess of Wales’s wedding back in 2011.

Speaking of Eugenie’s transformation, celebrity stylist Ms Longmore added: “I believe this new-found fashion confidence Princess Eugenie has, and her more stylised approach to dressing, is due to motherhood and how satisfied she is in the role of mum to two boys.”

The stylist added: “Her outfit choices have evolved hugely in the last few years, favouring block colours over the tawdry floral prints of the past. She has also learnt what styles work with her figure.”

Speaking of one recent outfit, Ms Longmore highlighted one of Eugenie’s outfits at the most Cheltenham Festival that “worked” despite breaking from Royal Family tradition.

She added that Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter “pulled off what most women can only dream of” – adding that she looked “put together” and “polished”.

As we approach the 13th anniversary of William and Kate’s wedding, the then-21-year-old Eugenie is said to have been open to new ideas in which outfit she donned at her cousin’s wedding.

According to stylist Charlie Anderson, who worked with Eugenie and her sister Beatrice on their outfits for the major 2011 occasion, Eugenie “knew herself very well”.

Charlie added: “Eugenie was [however] willing to listen and try what I proposed.”

Speaking of Eugenie’s all-white outfit at Cheltenham, many fans also loved the mother-of-two’s look.

Taking to social media site X, one fan commented that it was “the nicest outfit I’ve seen Eugenie wear in a long time”.

Another fan commented: “She’s so well put together! Love the bag [heart-eyed emoji].”

A third fan wrote: “Looking lovely for Ladies Day”, with a fourth complementing that they “really like the way she looks”.

Eugenie’s all-white outfit consisted of a Reiss belted trench coat and Penelope Chilvers Buford suede boots.
