Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be “throwing themselves under the bus” if the Duke of Sussex releases a second book, a royal expert has claimed.
Speaking of a potential second tell-all memoir on the horizon, Pandora Forsyth claimed another Spare would cause further damage to their ongoing feud with the Royal Family because the monarchy was not “put in the best light” with the first book.
Although a new biography has not been confirmed, there is speculation about a second book from Prince Harry – as well as a solo memoir by Meghan Markle.
Speaking to Sky News Australia, Ms Forsyth said: “So if they were to do a follow-up, given the fact that they’re now financially independent on very very good terms because Spare did so well initially, I don’t see why they would.
“It would almost be throwing themselves under the bus by doing that, in terms of trust, but of course many people would read it and if they want the money, then that’s obviously the way to do it.”
Spare, published by Penguin Random House in January 2023, became the UK’s fastest-selling non-fiction book ever. Financially, Harry is said to have already made around £22million from Spare, according to the Daily Mail.
