The previous day, Sovereigns from around Europe joined the British Royal Family for a special Service for the Most Noble Order at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
The evening, the Queen hosted a Dinner for the European Sovereigns to mark her Golden Jubilee in the Waterloo Chamber at Windsor Castle, which was attended by Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik of Denmark, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain, Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway, King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, and Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine Charlotte of Luxembourg.
