While the English national team met the Danish national team on the pitch on June 20th, there was a royal meeting in the stands.
King Frederik of Denmark and The Prince of Wales met before the England/ Denmark match in the opening round of Euro 2024 on Thursday. King Frederik’s younger daughter, Princess Josephine, was also at the match with her father. Frederik and William chatted about the upcoming match before taking their seats.
Prince William shared a photo with the Danish royals taken before the game with the caption,

Prince William is the President of the Football Association, and has long been a strong supporter of both the men’s and women’s national teams. He met with the English side last week to wish them luck before they left for the tournament. He shared Prince Louis’ advice for the team- to eat double rations of everything!
King Frederik shared a photograph on the weekend on Instagram of himself, Princess Josephine, and Prince Vincent wearing Danish tops in support of the Danish national team.
The match on Thursday did not have the desired result for either team, though. The match ended with a 1-1 draw, giving each team a point.
