While Princess Kate did not attend Royal Ascot yesterday, royal fans were delighted to see her mum Carole Middleton take to the stands with the royals. As well as being spotted sharing a hug with her son-in-law Prince William, 42, Carole was also seen watching the races with King Charles, 76.
Although Carole and the rest of the Middleton family are often invited to major events, such as the King’s Coronation in 2023, it isn’t often you see them enjoying a good laugh with the monarch. However, this was exactly what Carole did yesterday, as she was seen engaged in conversation with her daughter’s father-in-law.
Since the pair were spotted together on Wednesday, royal fans have all said the same thing about Carole and the King, and just how lovely the bond between William and Kate’s family seems to be.
One fan wrote on X: “It’s lovely to see them together.”
A second said: “Love that they have a lovely warm relationship.”
A third commented: “So nice to see. Good that they all get along so well.”
Someone else wrote: “I love that when they’re together, they’re just inlaws. He’s the King, but he’s also her daughter’s father-in-law and they share grandkids.”
As well as spending time with the King yesterday, Carole, 70, was also seen giving her son-in-law Prince William a hug. It is believed the pair have always shared a close relationship, with William becoming as much part of the Middleton family as Kate has become part of the Royal Family.
After being spotted together at Ascot yesterday, royal fans took to X to praise their relationship.
One fan wrote: “I love their bond so much.”
Another said: “So wholesome.”
