Royal fans on Instagram have roundly admired the beautiful new portrait of Meghan Markle shot by friend Misan Harriman, released hours after her new partnership with Lemonada Media was announced.

The image shows Meghan dressed in a sleeveless grey sweater with her arms folded and her brown eyes looking directly down the camera lens, wearing Princess Diana’s old Cartier watch with her hair and make up kept natural and fresh.

Less than a year after Archewell Audio lost their deal with Spotify, the Duchess of Sussex has forged a new deal to front another podcast, with the company also set to distribute her Archetypes series.

The picture was posted on the new sussex.com website, launched by her and Prince Harry in what has been a busy week professionally for the couple. The photographer also shared the image on his personal Instagram page.

The comments section on Mr Harriman’s Instagram was full of praise, with one fan writing: “Gorgeous photo of Meghan, as always, Misan. You never fail!”

Another gushed: “Misan you are a gifted photographer. Meghan is gorgeous as always”, while a third said: “Thanks for always bringing the good news about the Sussexes.”

News of Meghan’s return to the podcasting world was also welcomed, with one fan chiming in: “I loved the podcast, so glad it’s back!” and another agreeing: “Great photo! And I really enjoyed Archetypes! So glad it will be back!”

The new series with Lemonada is already in development, although it is unknown what it will be called or what the premise of the podcast will be.

Harry and Meghan’s new website was also unveiled this week, although it has already attracted some criticism for the prominence of the royal crest and their Sussex titles.

However the Duchess subtly hit back with a statement praising Article, the website’s designer, for their “their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience”‘

She added: “They’re not just designers; they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities. They’re a very special company. Plus they’re Canadian, so I’m a fan.”
