Royal fans have been quick to notice a new jewellery addition worn by Meghan Markle this week as she stepped out in Canada with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has been by Harry’s side in Canada for The Invictus Games 2025 – a tournament organised as part of the duke’s Invictus Foundation, which was set up in 2014 to help injured veterans.
While Meghan is now back at the couple’s home in California, royal fans can’t help but speak about the new signet ring they spotted on her pinky finger on her right hand just days ago.
The jewellery seems to have been engraved with Prince Harry and Meghan’s joint cypher, which they unveiled when they married back in 2018.
The monogram consists of the letters ‘H’ and ‘M’ in cursive writing, a coronet with two cross pattées, four fleurs-de-lys, and two strawberry leaves. It was used on the couple’s previous Sussex Royal website and social media accounts until they quit life as senior royals in 2020.
Meghan and Harry also continued to use the logo until 2021 on their letterheads, before they replaced it with their Archewell logo.
Since spotting the ring this week, royal fans have been quick to question the new jewellery piece, which is believed to be from Bentley & Skinner.
Many have also pointed out how the signet ring looks similar to one worn by His Majesty King Charles – Prince Harry’s father.
One royal fan wrote on X: “King Charles wears one on his pinky too.”
A second said: “Odd when she has severed her ties with the Royal Family?”
Another wrote: “Doesn’t mean anything when they (Meghan and Harry) stopped being royals. Can’t have your cake and eat it too!”
Despite criticisms the duchess has faced recently, Meghan was all smiles at The Invictus Games earlier this week, with many competitors praising Harry’s wife throughout the tournament. Bryce Ewing, who competes in snowboarding, rowing, and swimming, told People: “When Meghan looks at you, she really looks at you, and you feel it in your soul. She’s really caring. She’s very intuitive. She’s so down to earth, and she looks like she really cares.”
It is believed Meghan will be watching the rest of the tournament from home in California with the couple’s two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three. Prince Harry is reportedly expected to stay in Canada until the end of the tournament on Sunday.
