The Prince of Wales was pictured beaming proudly as Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson exited Chester Cathedral after what has been dubbed the society wedding of the year.
The seventh Duke of Westminster, 33 – crowned Britain’s richest resident under 40 – married 31-year-old Olivia in lavish wedding ceremony which included the crème de la crème of the British aristocracy.
The bride looked breathtaking in a sleek wedding dress and veil designed by Emma Victoria Payne. Olivia wore the Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara – a family heirloom since 1906, while her bouquet was made of flowers picked from the gardens of the duke’s family home, Eaton Hall. The 31-year-old beamed and was cheered on by the crowds as she made her way to church, shortly before 12pm.
Hugh also looked dapper in a black longtail coat, a black waistcoat, grey pin-striped trousers, a white and light blue shirt and a pink tie which featured dragonflies. Hugh made quite the entrance as he arrived at the ceremony in a green Land Rover and waved to the crowds who had gathered in the streets just before greeting the Dean of Chester the Rev Dr Tim Stratford and going inside.
Prince William arrived just before 11am as played an important role as an usher. Princess Eugenie was also pictured beaming as she arrived at the cathedral shortly before 11.20am. She donned a sage green long-sleeved dress with a cream fascinator.
