Denise Welch took to social media and applauded the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their tour of Colombia. The royal couple visited South America last month, where they were honoured guests of Vice President Francia Márquez during the four-day tour.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as part of their new initiative, spoke extensively about how dangerous the internet can be and what it could lead to.

The Archewell Foundation shared a behind-the-scenes look of their tour giving fans a rare insight into their visit.

A social media user shared the clip, which was captioned: “Fabulous Colombia content from Harry and Meghan’s Sussexpedition!

“They visited Bogota, Cartagena, and Cali alongside Vice President Francia Márquez and raised awareness of issues ranging from online harm and gender equality to the Invictus Games.”

The Loose Women presenter took the opportunity to retweet the video on her social media account, as she wrote: “Fabulous [clapping hands emoji].”

One person wrote: “What I really love about them is that Harry lets her shine as well! Is not like he is the Prince so he needs to do all and her just be in the background looking nice..is equal work or sometimes she is doing more and that’s just empowering for women! Love them both.”

Another tweeted: “I just love the way Meghan translated Harry’s speech in Spanish. She’s smart, well educated, kind, compassionate and articulate.”

A third echoed: “Sussexpedition! You’ve coined it. Was an amazing visit. I enjoyed every bit of it. They’re doing good work and bringing eyes to important causes and wonderful places.”

The Sussexes travelled to the South American country for a four-day tour, during which they visited a school, played volleyball, and raised awareness about online bullying and misinformation.

Harry and Meghan visited a local school and joined a summit in collaboration with their Archewell Foundation about creating a healthier digital landscape.

The Sussexes also took part in a forum paying tribute to the contributions of Afro-Colombian women, leaders and entrepreneurs.

Harry joined in a game of volleyball on a visit to Colombian Invictus Games athletes in Bogota.
