CBB’s Gary Goldsmith gives stern verdict on controversial Princess Kate photo | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Celebrity Big Brother star Gary Goldsmith has opened up about his niece the Princess of Wales controversial Mother’s Day image. Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Monday morning he told host Susanna Reid: “The smiles on faces said it all for me.

“I thought it was beautiful. Obviously the family wouldn’t be the ones to do any touch ups so if that’s gone through some filter before its gone out to the broader world, they won’t be doing that themselves.

“But all I was looking at was the faces and the smiles and it just looked like a beautiful family that they are. And really genuine smiles on faces and this whole sleeve gate thing. Just leave it alone.”

Kensington Palace released a new image of Kate on Sunday (March 10) where she posed with her children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, five, in a sweet Mother’s Day picture taken by Prince William. However, within hours of it being released four major photo agencies removed the snap over fears it had been ‘manipulated’.

The Associated Press (AP), Reuters, Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Getty Images all separately sent out a “kill notice” to media organisations worldwide, confirming they had each removed the image from their individual collections. A notice from The Associated Press stated: “At closer inspection it appears that the source has manipulated the image.”

Although Gary defended the image he did admit that he hasn’t actually seen his neice in “a long time”.

“Years,” he admitted when asked by Susanna. “Maybe a year. So it’s weddings and funerals unfortunately. We don’t get to see them that often.

“Pippa moreso. “James moreso, I’m his godfather. And my sister i checked when Kate was in hospital,” he admitted.
