The Grand Ducal Court of Luxembourg has announced that Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and his wife Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie have welcomed a second son. Prince François Henri Luis Marie Guillaume was born on March 27, 2023 at 10:15 AM at the Grand Duchess  Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg,  weighing 3.5 kg/7 lbs. 11 oz. and 53 cm/20 inches long. Prince François is third in the line of succession to the throne of Luxembourg behind his father and his elder brother Prince Charles, born May 10, 2020.

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and the former Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy were married in a civil ceremony at the City Hall in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg on October 19, 2012. Their religious wedding took place on October 20, 2012, at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City.
