BREAKING: King Charles admitted to hospital after experiencing side effects from cancer treatment

King Charles was briefly hospitalised after experiencing temporary side effects from his cancer treatments and his diary will be rescheduled as a result.

Buckingham Palace released a short statement on March 27 that reads:“Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital. His Majesty’s afternoon engagements were therefore postponed.

“His Majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary programme will also be rescheduled.

“His Majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said that The King had been due to meet with three incoming Ambassadors and had plans to visit Birmingham on March 28, but following medical advice will have to postpone these events.

King Charles, they said, “is greatly disappointed to be missing them,” and “offers his deepest apologies to all those who had worked so hard to make the planned visit possible.”

The King was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February 2024.
