Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant, is celebrating her 23rd birthday and the Belgian Royal Palace has released new portraits to mark the occasion.
The Belgian Royal Family has shared two new photographs of Princess Elisabeth in honour of her birthday.
The two portraits were taken by Max Bueno and show the princess enjoying autumn in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is wearing a striped skirt and top set from French brand Ba&sh, paired with black knee-high boots.
The Duchess is currently studying a Masters of Public Policy degree from Harvard University, a two year course that she began in September. This follows her graduation from Lincoln College at Oxford University in June, when she graduated with a 2:1 in History and Politics.
Elisabeth was born to her parents, the then-Duke and Duchess of Brabant, on 24 October 2001 at the Erasmus Hospital in Brussels.
She is the first future Belgian monarch to begin her education in Dutch, starting her schooling at St. John Berchmans College. She completed her secondary education at t UWC Atlantic College in Llantwit Major, Wales.
The Duchess is not new to Ivy League institutions, though. She previously took part in the Yale Young Global Scholars Program at Yale University.
Princess Elisabeth completed her mandatory year of military training from 2020 to 2021.
