Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could be set to take on greater roles and responsibility as working royals in the years to come according to a royal expert.
The sisters have already been visibly more active over the past couple of years, with Their Royal Highnesses undertaking engagements at settings including hospitals, galleries and the Chelsea Flower Show.
In an interview with HELLO!, royal expert Ingrid Seward claimed that both Beatrice and Eugenie could become part of ‘The Firm’ of working royals if that is the desire of Prince William when he becomes King.
Ms Seward said: “When William ascends the throne, Beatrice and Eugenie will be valuable assets, and I’m certain they will get involved with royal duties. It makes perfect sense, because he will need them.
“I see them as a sort of double act, working together in the same way as married couples do. Two gorgeous Princesses working together as sisters would be very powerful. I think it would be wonderful, and I think it will happen.”
Neither Beatrice of Eugenie are classed as working members of The Royal Family, with the sisters unable to undertake engagements on behalf of The King that are funded by the taxpayer.
The work they currently undertake is in a private capacity, and does not feature in the Court Circular – the Royal Family’s diary of official engagements.
