PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out for World Mental Health Day in New York today to discuss children safety online.

The pair took to the stage with NBC’s Carson Daley and US Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy to discuss with parents about creating a safer online environment for children at “The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age.”

Both Harry, 39, and Meghan,42, have spoken openly about their own  struggles with mental health in the past.

The Prince has claimed he found taking cannabis “really helped” him to deal with mental health issues after the death of his mother Princess Diana, in a bizarre 90-minute livesteam with Gabor Mate.

He has also claimed he used mushrooms and ayahuasca “therapeutically, medicinally.”

Speaking on her podcast, “Archetypes”, last year, Meghan revealed how her husband helped her reach out to a mental health professional when she was a t her ‘worst point.’

Harry stepped out wearing a black suit and tie while Meghan donned a modest all white off-the-shoulder jacket and matching wide-leg trousers with her hair styled in an effortless low bun.

It’s the first time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have visited New York since claiming to be involved in a “near catastrophic car chase” caused by paparazzi earlier this year.

Before heading to the summit the pair visited MarcyLabSchool, in New York that offers a one-year fellowship so students can study software engineering free of charge.

Body language expert Judi James told The Sun the couple not only had two very different dress codes for the events but also body language.

While at the Summit, the first in-person event hosted by the couple’s charity, both appeared deeply moved by the speakers.

Judi said: “Their more formal appearance looks straight out of the celebrity power couple handbook, although the standing photo suggests Meghan is applying more effort and animation to her appearance than a Clooney might.

“Her brows are raised and her eyes widened and her open-mouth smile signals she’s keen to meet and to chat.

“Harry looks less relaxed here, out of sync with Meghan’s body language and looking down with a more tempered smile.

“The couple look visibly touched and moved as they sit listening in the audience. Meghan’s eyes have the saddest expression and her brows are curled in the middle, suggesting an empathetic reaction.

“For Harry it looks more personal. His facial expression looks bleak and reflective as though he might be recalling his own experiences with mental health too.”

Their first stop at the school saw the pair look far more casual and relaxed.

Judi explained: ” In the first visit they are emphatically casual but the way they watch the action here rather than immersing themselves does look rather old-school UK royal, back in the days when royals stood or sat and watched rather than participated.

“Both are wearing their widest mouth smiles here but both display different types of tension in their hands.

“Meghan’s hand gesture is tentative, as though she’s wanting to look low-status and down to earth but also keen to be asked to join in.

“Harry’s upturned finger meshed cradle suggests much higher levels of awkwardness. The couple seem to have taken a decision to be less tactile and without the signature hand-holding/hugging, Harry’s body language makes him look a little lost and awkward.”

While the pair took on the US, Prince William and Princess Kate, both 41, headed to Birmingham to speak with young people about how “everyone” suffers.

Continuing their work with charities and teaming up with TV personalities, the royals participated in a number of workshops on Tuesday.

Kate Middleton wore the colour yellow today, a symbol to show “young people that they are not alone” – with fans noticing Kate’s touching decision.

And to match her heartwarming choice, Kate also wore a pair of gold earrings that were gifted to her by a mother who lost her daughter to suicide.

The mum-of-three visited Maidenhead Rugby Club earlier this year where she met Mrs Renton who sadly lost Issy, 17, at the start of 2023.

The earrings were made in memory of Issy and something Kate promised Mrs Renton she would wear.
