Luxembourg’s Princess Alexandra has given birth to a baby girl and the new baby has a very royal name.

Little Victoire was born in Paris on May 14th 2024. Her name is the French version of Victoria.

Alexandra and her husband, Nicolas Bagory, announced they were expecting their first baby earlier this year. They married in April 2023.

The new baby is ninth in line to the Grand Ducal throne.

She is eighth grandchild of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. She is their second granddaughter and the second of their grandchildren to be born in 2024. In January this year, Prince Felix and his wife, Princess Claire, welcomed a son called Baltasar.

However, unlike her cousin, it isn’t expected that Victoire will have a royal title.
