Prince Harry’s team has refuted claims he turned down King Charles III’s upcoming birthday celebration.
Instead, a representative for the Duke, Ashley Hansen, has said there has been “no contact regarding an invitation” to the event marking the King’s 75th year.
His Majesty is due to host a celebration at Clarence House on November 14, but reports have circulated indicating Harry would not be attending.
Seeking to set the record straight, Hansen told the New York Post: “In response to UK media headlines, there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday.”
The statement claimed it had been “misreported”.

Close family and friends are expected to attend, including Prince William, 41, Princess Kate, 41 and Queen Camilla, 76.
