James Middleton has opened up about the “challenge” he faced when travelling with his family. The Princess of Wales’s younger brother is known to love his trips and walks with his family, which includes his six beloved dogs, Zulu, Inka, Luna, Mabel, Nala, and Isla.
He also previously had Ella, who died in 2023 and was the inspiration behind his dog food company’s name. Mr Middleton launched Ella & Co in 2020 but renamed it to James & Ella when she passed away.
In the latest James & Ella newsletter, Princess Kate’s brother revealed how he juggles feeding his dogs their raw food while on family holidays.
He wrote: “Whether it’s a weekend camping trip or a full-blown holiday, travelling with your dog is so much fun. But raw feeding on the road? That can be a challenge.”
He added: “That’s why we created our Freeze-Dried Raw – 100% raw, lightweight, long-lasting, easy to serve and store.”
Mr Middleton has previously given a rare glimpse into how the company’s freeze-dried raw food is made.
Along with the newsletter, the company also shared a new video of James on a walk with two of his dogs.
Talking about the concept of his business, Mr Middleton said on its website: “A few years back, my dogs helped pull me out of a really difficult battle with depression.
“When I reached the other side, I set out on a mission to make their lives just as happy and as healthy as they’ve made mine, starting with the food they eat.
“I’ve pulled together a team of industry experts and nutritionists. Together, we developed a range of food that contains all the ingredients and nutrition for dogs to live a long and happy life, but without any hassle.”
