Queen Camilla is fully embracing the summer with a visit to the Garden Museum in Lambeth to open a new exhibition.
The Queen visited the Garden Museum to help launch British Flowers Week 2025. To celebrate the week, the museum has asked six floral designers to create their own installation.
Designers Arthur Parkinson, Leigh Chappell, Palais London, Rollo Skinner, Wild at Heart, and Yeon Hee Lee have each created their own piece using seasonal, British-grown flowers and sustainable practices. Queen Camilla was able to chat with the designers to learn more about their unique creations.
The Queen made it clear how much she enjoyed the exhibition and visiting the museum in general when she shared that she has been pushing King Charles to make her a joint patron of the museum. Sharing her love of the museum, “this is one of my favourite places and it never ceases to surprise me.”
Queen Camilla also visited “Cecil Beaton’s Garden Party”, an exhibition exploring the photographer and artist’s work in gardens, before she joined a school visit.
The local students, from Evelyn Grace Academy and Platanos College, were learning about tea plants and how different teas can be created. The Queen was able to learn how to make herbal tea bags from different plants with the students.
