King Charles was given plenty of gifts ahead of his 2023 Coronation, however there was one in particular that stood out from the crowd. While the monarch, 76, is used to being given small traditional gifts here and there, it is not often he receives a gift of the value of at least £355,000.

As reported on the Royal Family website under a list of gifts King Charles received in 2023 for his Coronation, royal fans may be shocked to see that the monarch actually received a car from a fellow royal. This was a Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, believed to cost over £350k.

The car was a gift from the King of Bahrain.

As reported by The Sun, Palace sources say the car is part of the royal state fleet of vehicles and not being used for the King’s personal travel.

Charles III is believed to have a good relationship with the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who also gave His Majesty a decorative clock.

These presents were not the only ones received by the monarch to mark his Coronation.

Other gifts included two pairs of boots featuring Charles and Camilla’s royal cyphers – a gift from President Katalin Novak of Hungary.

The President of the Republic of Malawi, H.E. Mr. Lazarus Chakwera, also gifted the monarch an unusual gift – a chair with animal carvings.

Queen Camilla also received a series of gifts marking the Coronation, including a traditional handmade Vietnamese silk scarf from the Ambassador of Vietnam, on behalf of The President of Vietnam.

Amir of the State of Kuwait, Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, also gifted the Queen, 77, and King two thoubs, which is a traditional woman’s dress worn throughout the Gulf countries.
