Princess Eugenie has become a Global Ambassador for an art exhibition dedicated to coral reef conservation.
Thirty Six For Coral is an art exhibition and auction which aims to protect the coral reef and ocean life.
Speaking of her new role, Eugenie said: “Despite occupying less than 1 per cent of the seabed, coral reefs support 25 per cent of all life in the ocean, and one billion people around the world depend on coral reefs for food and jobs.
“I’m pleased to be supporting Thirty Six for Coral, an important art exhibition that will help connect more people to the irreplaceable value of coral reefs, and raise essential funding to help protect and restore them for future generations.”
Just last week, the princess announced she was taking on a new ambassadorial role with The King’s Foundation.
She also attended a garden party hosted by her cousin, the Prince of Wales.
Princess Eugenie, who is 12th in line to the throne, doesn’t carry out royal engagements but appears at major events such as Trooping the Colour.
