GB News star skewers Meghan Markle over ‘cringe princess act’ | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Meghan Markle left a flight attendant stunned when she appeared on a commercial American Airlines plane and left an impression by writing a hand written note to staff. However, former GB News host Mark Dolan, has hit out at the sweet exhange on his YouTube channel about the video posted by Nina Vida on her TikTok account. Nina referred to Meghan, who is married to Prince Harry as “The Queen, the Princess, the Duchess of Sussex”.

The use of these titles left Dolan seething with rage, as he fumed: “It was her (Vida’s) big mistake, she is not a princess, she never was, because she never behaved like one. That’s the thing about life, you can give anyone adjectives and descriptions, but unless they actually live that it is not authentic. It is not real.” Although Vida didn’t share specific details about the flight, the Sussexes have made several trips to New York City in recent months which is when the exchange is thought to have taken place.

Vida posted a TikTok video on May 22 recounting her experience serving the Duchess of Sussex on the flight. “You guys will not believe who I had on my flight, who I had a pleasure of serving,” she said whilst wearing her uniform in the clip.

The flight attendant was clearly impressed by the royal passenger, adding: “The Meghan Markle was on my flight, and she’s so beautiful in person. So sweet.” The TikTok video also revealed the sweet exchange of handwritten notes between the flight crew and the duchess.

Vida shared a photo of the note they had slipped to Meghan, which read,”It’s a pleasure serving you! Love you real bad” and was signed from the “AA girlies”.

Meghan, 43, responded with her own note penned on a napkin, which Vida displayed in the video. She wrote: “Dear AA girlies, thank you for the love, hospitality and handwritten note you know me well. All love right back to you. As ever, Meghan.”

However, Dolan dismissed Meghan’s kind gesture as “performative”.

He vented: “She’s an actress, and not a very good one, but she is good at pretending to be something she is not. She’s put on an act for that short-haul flight.”

Vida also shared how the former Suits star also gushed over her manicure, saying: “She also said she loved my nails, and the captain on my last flight said they were intense. So, sir, it doesn’t matter what you think. The queen says she likes them.”

Meghan previously spoke openly about her fondness for the personal touch of handwritten notes.

On her former lifestyle blog, The Tig, Meghan wrote: “I think handwritten notes are a lost art form,” adding, “The idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special.”
