Happy 80th Birthday to Baroness Kirstine von Blixen-Finecke! The former Businesswoman who is the Överhovmästarinna (Chief of the Swedish Royal Household) and the highest ranking non-royal woman in Sweden, she has often worn this striking Diamond Tiara!
Composed of a few of diamond leaves in a straight bandeau set atop silver frame, the exact origin of the Tiara is unknown, but it appears to be a more modern commission rather than an antique heirloom.
Baroness Kirstine von Blixen-Finecke has worn this Diamond Tiara since becoming a Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Silvia in 2003, when the then Överhovmästarinna was her aunt-in-law, Countess Alice Trolle-Wachtmeister.
Among the more notable appearances of Baroness Kirstine in the Diamond Tiara were at the Wedding of Crown Princess Victoria in 2010, the Wedding of Princess Madeline in 2013, and the Wedding of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden in 2015.
Over the years, Baroness Kirstine has worn the Diamond Tiara for numerous Nobel Prize Ceremonies, being notably pictured at the Nobel Prize Ceremony in 2018.
In recent years, the Diamond Tiara has been worn by Baroness Kirstine von Blixen-Finecke for various State Banquets and Gala Dinners, most notably for the Dutch State Visit to Sweden in 2022 and King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Golden Jubilee Banquet. There is no doubt it will be worn for years to come!
