King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark are on a State Visit to France from March 31st to April 2nd. The State Visit comes following their State Visit to Sweden, State Visit to Norway, an extensive Tour of Greenland, a State Visit from Iceland, a visit to Germany, and State Visit to Finland after the Accession of King Frederik X last year upon the Abdication of Queen Margrethe II.
President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron received King Frederik X and Queen Mary in an Official Welcome Ceremony in the Court d’Honneur at the Hôtel National des Invalides before being escorted by La Garde Républicaine to the Élysée Palace.
Upon arrival at the Élysée Palace, King Frederik X and Queen Mary were received by President Emmanuel Macron and the First Lady on the steps of the Palace, with an exchange of gifts and decorations in the Salon des Portraits, ahead of an audience in the Salon Pompadour.
In the evening, President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron hosted a State Dinner for King Frederik X and Queen Mary at the Élysée Palace, with both the King and President giving Speeches.
Upon arrival, Queen Mary wore the upper portion of the Earrings and the Brooch from the Khedive of Egypt Parure.
