Princess Beatrice has paid a poignant tribute to her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
As she welcomed her second child, the princess chose to give her little girl the middle name of Elizabeth.
She had already selected it as a middle name for her first daughter, Sienna.

Now, her youngest child has been called Athena Elizabeth Rose.
And there’s another nod to the Royal Family in Athena’s other middle name. Queen Elizabeth II’s only sister was named Margaret Rose.
The newest member of the Royal Family was born on January 22nd 2025 at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

She weighed four pounds and five ounces. She is now at home with her mother and family.
Baby Athena is eleventh in line to the throne.
She is the fourteenth great grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Five of them now have Elizabeth as a middle name.
Three of the late Queen’s four granddaughters have Elizabeth as a middle name. Her eldest granddaughter is Zara Anne Elizabeth while her youngest was christened Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary. And Princess Beatrice has the middle names of Elizabeth and Mary.
