The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly “let one rule slide at Christmas” when it comes to their children.
According to a source who previously spoke to US Weekly, the rule the couple breaks is spoiling Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
The source said: “While Kate and William avoid overly spoiling the children, they let the rule slide at Christmas.”
Speaking of how the day in the Waleses’ home begins, the source told the publication that George, Charlotte and Louis enjoy waking up very early on Christmas Day.
According to US Weekly, the young royal trio received a range of gifts for Christmas in 2021.
The publication reported that in 2021 George and Louis, then aged seven and three, enjoyed their gifts to use outdoors.
George is said to have received a camping kit, complete with a tent, walkie-talkies and a flashlight, whilst Louis received a climbing frame.
In 2021, a then-six-year-old Charlotte was given a children’s video camera that she adored.
Prince William, Princess Kate and their three children were not in attendance at the pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on December 19. The family were already in Norfolk ahead of celebrations at Sandringham this week – and it is understood they always planned to be.
As well as the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales will also be joined by other members of the family tomorrow.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence are expected to join celebrations on Christmas Day.
Some royals will be absent from the Sandringham gathering, including Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, as well as their two daughters and families.
