Meghan Markle was criticised by one of her neighbours during a bombshell documentary this week, just as Prince Harry revealed his plans on whether he would return to the UK with his family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s life has been at the centre of a new German documentary titled Harry – The Lost Prince which premiered on ZDF this week. The couple settled in Montecito in Santa Barbara, California after they left the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to the US.
In the documentary, one of their neighbours, author Richard Mineards, who’s previously spoken about the couple’s life in the area, claimed Harry and Meghan are barely seen in the town and added that Meghan is “no asset” to the community, saying according to the Mail: “I personally don’t think that Meghan is an asset to our community. She doesn’t really go out or get involved with the community. Harry has, to a certain extent, because he’s quite jolly, but Meghan doesn’t seem to get seen anywhere. And you don’t see him either.”
Meanwhile, the duke attended a summit in New York and declared that he has no plans to return to the UK because he and his family enjoy their life in Montecito, saying: “I very much enjoy living here and bringing my kids up here”.
He said he, Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are afforded a level of privacy in the US, as well as a life of activities his children “undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the UK” because of security concerns.
