The Prince and Princess of Wales have popped up in a new video congratulating Team Great Britain for their Olympic achievements… and William’s sporting new facial hair!

In the video, the royal couple appear alongside Snoop Dogg and a host of others including Dame Jessie Ennis-Hill, Becky Adlington, Michael Johnson, and David Beckham, to congratulate all the Olympians from Team GB.

William and Catherine start off the video, with Catherine saying “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.”

William, sporting a beard for the first time in over a decade, adds: “Well done on all you’ve achieved. You’ve been an inspiration to us all.”

The video then becomes a montage of others congratulating Team GB on lifting the nation’s spirits over the last two weeks of competition, and ends with Snoop Dogg saying: “Thank you Great Britain, on behalf of big Snoop Dogg, the Prince, and his lovely wife.”

William and Catherine were ultimately unable to travel over to Paris for any of the Olympics, as Catherine is still receiving chemotherapy and William has curtailed his schedule to take care of his wife.

They posted the video with the caption: “Well done Team GB, what an incredible journey!

“Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud!

“Here’s to celebrating every triumph at Paris 2024 and looking forward to more from Paralympics GB later in the summer.”

Earlier this summer, Snoop Dogg gave an interview in London where the topic of royalty came up. When the interviewer told him that William is reportedly a fan of the rapper, Snoop chimed in: “Well, the Queen was a fan too. Rest in peace to the Queen, that was my girl. You know what I’m saying?”
