Meghan Markle owns over £400k of Diana’s jewels including one sentinmental item | Royal | News

The cuff is set to be worth an eye-watering sum and luxury jewellery expert, Maxwell Stone said: “Another particularly sentimental piece is Princess Diana’s gold cuff bangle, which Meghan first wore during her royal tour of Australia with Prince Harry in 2018. Featuring two large cabochon sapphires that appear to be 5ct each, it’s likely to be worth around £25,000.”

He previously added: “Traditionally, it is believed that sapphires have calming properties, promote peace and pristine rest, helping to slow down the mind.”

Royal fans recognised her late mother-in-law’s bracelet when Meghan and Prince Harry went on her royal tour of Australia.

While Meghan obviously never met the late Princess, she is connected to her via a few select jewels, her engagement ring being the most notable.

Harry crafted a custom design for Meghan, which featured one diamond sourced from Botswana and two smaller stones from Princess Diana’s collection.

Commenting on the engagement ring, the diamond specialist added: “Though Meghan’s £120,000 engagement ring didn’t belong to Diana, we’ve included it as it features diamonds that did. It’s actually widely believed that the stones came from her Cartier Diamond Tennis Bracelet, which Meghan has been seen wearing several times.”

At the time of their engagement, Prince Harry told the BBC: “The ring is obviously yellow gold because that’s Meghan’s favourite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection, to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together.”

One notable ring now in Meghan’s possession is also the striking aquamarine ring that Diana famously wore. Meghan first wore this ring at her wedding reception, signaling her entry into the royal family while paying homage to Diana’s memory.

Harry’s gesture is seen as an expression of his love for both Meghan and his late mother, ensuring that the memory of his mother continues to influence and inspire future generations.
