The Duke of Sussex broke his toe while on a weekender bender with pals in Norfolk.
Recalling the 2013 carnage, he wrote in memoir Spare: “We drank and smoked and partied till dawn.
“And then, while trying to reassemble one of the rooms we’d rearranged, I dropped a heavy chair with brass wheels onto my foot.”
He only remembered he’d done it the morning he was due to set off on a 200-mile expedition across Antarctica.
Speaking of the pain he felt, Harry wrote: “Silly injury. But debilitating. I could barely walk.”
Prince Philip’s broken hip

The late Duke of Edinburgh managed to break his hip shortly before grandson Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle.
Remarkably, Prince Philip managed without a walking aid at the May 2018 pomp and pageantry-filled bonanza at Windsor Castle.
Queen knee surgery

In 2003, Her Majesty was admitted to hospital for keyhole surgery.
She had torn the cartilage in her right knee while out on a walking trip.
The Queen needed crutches to get around and later in the year she underwent the same operation on her left knee.
Anne’s agony

Princess Anne managed to sprain her right wrist during a nasty fall from her horse – leaving her in a sling.
It happened during a three day eventing competition at the 1973 European Championships in Kyiv.
She was forced to pull out of the event, which was then in the Soviet Union.
Princess royally unlucky

The Princess Royal had another huge equestrian injury when she fell from her horse during the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Canada.
She recalled: “It was going very well and then I don’t remember anything else. Nothing at all.”
Fortunately, Princess Anne was wearing a helmet when she tumbled off The Queen’s horse Goodwill during the three-day event.
Zara knocked out

Just like her mother, Zara Tindall is a keen equestrian, but she too has been through the wars thanks to her love of horses.
She was left unconscious following a horrific fall at an international riding competition in 2004.
Mike’s horror tackle

Injuries are an occupational hazard for any rugby player, and no more so than for Zara’s husband Mike Tindall.
The former England Centre was lucky to be alive after a tackle left him with a misplaced rib which punctured his lung.
The bone also tore an “inch wide and inch deep” hole in his liver, leaving him in a horrific state during a Six Nations England game against Wales.
Recalling the 2008 incident, the I’m A Celeb star said: “My condition was compounded by air released between the lungs and ribs from the hole in my lung.
“The biggest concern was my internal bleeding.”
He made a swift recovery.
Queen Mother’s fish bone

The Queen Mother, who died aged 101 in 2002, spent four days in hospital after a fish bone got lodged in her throat.
She was rushed for emergency surgery at the King Edward VIII Hospital in London following the horror at Royal Lodge, Windsor, in 1982.
