Yoga workshop to help people lead a healthy lifestyle | Delhi News


To encourage more people to take up yoga, fitness expert and speaker Mickey Mehta held a workshop over the weekend just before the International Yoga Day. The event aimed at creating awareness about various aspects of yoga. Mental and emotional wellness, age and ailment reversal, and veganism were the key points of the discussion held at the event. Mehta also demonstrated seven asanas – a seven step yogic demonstration to help people begin their fitness and wellness routines. “The idea behind coming together is to create awareness among people about numerous benefits of yoga to achieve holistic health,” said Mehta.
Fitness enthusiasts from all spheres of life participated in yoga, meditation and breathing sessions. Mehta shared the health benefits of yoga and the importance of clean green eating was shared by Ashima Jain, nutritionist & lifestyle management coach. Mehta shared, “My wellness approach will also take care of your physical, physiological, psychological, and spiritual well-being by making you realize the power of breath and meditation. The idea of doing this workshop before International Yoga Day was to encourage more people to take up yoga and start their fitness and wellness journeys with yoga. As we talk more about holistic wellness today, yoga plays an important role in helping us take a step towards wellness. I wanted to present a basic framework for anyone who wants to take a step forward towards health and fitness.”
