Royal Guests and Relatives at the Wedding were led by Princess Sophie and Prince George William of Hanover along with King Umberto II of Italy, Princess Alice of Greece, Princess Victoria Louise, Duchess of Brunswick, Princess Theodora, Margravine of Baden, and Princess Margarita of Hohenlohe-Langenburg.

Princess Dorothea wore a Diamond Bandeau along with the spectacular Hesse Aquamarine Necklace, a Wedding Gift from the Prince and Princess of Hesse which had been inherited from Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna of Russia. The Tiara remained with Princess Dorothea until being auctioned in 1996.
