This little prince is about to become heir to a throne but he still gets a tractor cake for his birthday

He’s about to become the youngest heir to the throne in Europe but this little prince called Charles has more important things on his mind.

Luxembourg’s Prince Charles is turning five and, as you’d expect, he’s placing a lot of importance on his birthday cake.

Charles, who will become first in line to Luxembourg’s throne in just few months’ time, has been seen celebrating his big day with his parents, Guillaume and Stephanie, as they prepare for a huge moment.

On October 3 2025, they will become Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg when Guillaume’s father, Henri, abdicates his throne and passes it to his eldest son.

From that moment onwards, their firstborn, young Charles, will be heir to the country’s throne and can take the title of Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg.

At the age of five, he’ll become the youngest heir in Europe.

It makes this birthday even more special but the little prince looks to have his focus firmly on fun.

Charles, who turns 5 on May 10 2025, is also seen playing with his younger brother, Prince Francois, in the birthday portraits.

He’s also seen enjoying his cake which features farmyard decorations.

Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume was born on May 10 2020, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, and he was first presented to the world by his proud parents outside the hospital as they wore masks and had to socially distance from others. They showed off their son to his grandparents on Zoom.

In 2023, Charles was joined by a younger brother, Francois, who turned 2 in March.
