BBC fans have gone wild over the greatly-awaited return of The Traitors – however, they have not just been bowled over by the brand-new set of contestants. Many have become fixated with host Claudia Winkleman’s fashion ensembles, but I have studied her looks in detail and noticed that one senior member of the Royal Family has seemingly inspired her looks.

As a Royal Fashion reporter, I have reviewed countless looks by her and carefully studied all of her displays last year. Princess Kate, 42, is flawless and well-polished and rarely puts a foot wrong.
From star-studded sparkling tiara moments to dressed-down country chic – she has influenced many. And I have noticed that the Traitors host Claudia, 62, has donned a number of looks that are very similar to Kate’s.
Tweed is making a huge comeback this year, with stylist Ciara Russell telling Express.co.uk that it is one of her top five predictions of the new year as a key style. Claudia looked radiant as she was snapped wearing an oversized jacket woollen jacket that boasted the print.
She completed the look with a simple black turtleneck underneath, jodper leggings and a pair of chunky ankle boots.
Back in 2021, Princess Kate took a trip to Cumbria where she chose to don a belted jacket made from luxury wool by Really Wild.
The look Kate donned nearly three years ago is almost identical to Claudia’s, as she also styled it with a classic t-shirt underneath.
Country chic is a style that combines the old with the new, so it is no surprise that Kate is a fan. Also, she is a huge fan of the outdoors, so it compliments her love of preppy and structured looks.
The popular BBC show is filmed in the Scottish Highlands, a place that the Royals often frequent during the summer and also home to one of King Charles’s boltholes.
Claudia films in cold conditions so needs to wrap up warm, the thick-cut material of tweed jackets focuses on natural tones and a mix of rustic and elegant elements.
Meanwhile, Claudia has also been spotted in chunky knitwear – which Princess Kate often wears when she cuts casual figures.
The TV host has also been snapped in a stunning tartan skirt. Just last month, Princess Kate re-wore her long-line red print skirt, which is very similar to the design Claudia wore.
Princess Kate is a style icon and is recognised around the globe. She often wears riding clothing when spending time in the outdoors, which Cladia has also sported. This mixes practicality, elegance, and British charm.
