The image was shared on X (previously known as Twitter) by journalist Taylor Auerbach who claimed it was a photo Meghan “never wanted the world to see”.

Some online users were quick to comment that the snap seemed “lower class” with one saying: “Who tucks the napkin into their top? Very bottom class.”

The show featured several other unseen photos of the Duchess.

The family special showed Meghan’s life growing up. Her family discussed her relationship with Prince Harry as well as where she would be “without her dad”.

In the trailer, her sister Samantha said: “She would still be a waitress if it wasn’t for dad.”

In another moment, Samantha said of the relationship with Harry: “They’re unhealthy for each other. This is a toxic relationship.”

Meghan’s estranged brother, Thomas Jnr, claimed that they are “not going away” despite claims it will be their last interview.

He added: “This is going to change everything.”
