The Princess of Wales gave an insight into royal motherhood after she visited The Baby Bank in Windsor to talk about how the organisation carries out support to local families in need.
During the visit, the Princess met volunteers and took part in sorting donations and packing referrals. While chatting, she shared how her children, George, 9, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, who just turned five, are doing.
Finding a Buzz Lightyear toy, she mentioned that Princess Charlotte, who turns 8 on 2 May, is a huge Toy Story fan. She also touched on how quickly her children are growing up. And she echoed what many parents feel as she said ”they do grow so quickly.”
The Baby Bank works with local partners including house visitors and midwives to provide support to families in need. The Princess has been a long-standing supporter of the organisation that helps many families across the country.
The Bay Bank was founded in 2015 by two local mothers who wanted to provide essential items including nappies, trolleys, and even bedding. Since its launch, more than 21,500 people have been given support.
The Princess has been known to visit baby banks across the country and support young development.
She set up the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, an organisation focusing on the first five years of a child’s life and setting them up for future success.
In addition, in the summer of 2020, The Princess brought together 19 British brands and retailers to donate more than 10,000 new items to 40 baby banks across the U.K.
