The Fashion Hits of Crown Princess Victoria

Crown Princess Victoria’s style can be best summed up as a love for all things blue, pink or floral, or all three at the same time, but she absolutely has the princess style nailed down. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane as we take in some of her best looks of 2024.

Mermaid Elegance

Look, when you’re presenting the Stockholm Junior Water Prize—a literal prize for literal water (well, solving the problems surrounding water usage)—you have to commit to the occasion. Take Crown Princess Victoria’s MaxJenny! water-print dress.

Its maxi length, cap sleeves and cinched waist gave it a regal touch but the blue-and-white wave pattern print truly sold it. Nobody else could have pulled this off and not looked cartoonish, Crown Princess Victoria made it work!

Cadet Crown Princess Victoria

It’s not a gown, it’s not a princessy day dress, it’s not a white-tie affair, but you can’t argue that Crown Princess Victoria donning the army fatigues of the Swedish Armed Forces for her officer training—which began in September—isn’t a powerful image.

Not only will she someday be Sweden’s first modern queen regnant, she’ll also symbolically lead the military, and it’s important that she undertakes these training sessions.

A Sparkling Welcome to King Frederik and Queen Mary

As the first of the Scandinavian cousins to ascend the throne, King Frederik and Queen Mary undertook the traditional ‘first visit’ to Sweden and Norway in the months after his accession.

In May, the Danish royals paid a state visit to Sweden and Crown Princess Victoria’s sparkling Christer Lindarw gown, with draped neckline and shimmering fabric, was the perfect regal touch. The Connaught tiara didn’t hurt either!

Feathery fabulousness

I’m sorry, you expect me to skip a gown covered in feathers? Crown Princess Victoria sported this stunning and eccentric Toteme Feather evening gown for the Finnish State Banquet in late April, with its feathered caplet over a cream white bodice.

The future queen has worn this on several occasions, but with her bolder style choices, it needed to make this list!

Victoria Goes Floral

It’s always a treat that the entire Swedish Royal Family comes out in full force for Crown Princess Victoria’s birthday—celebrated every 14 July at Solliden Palace—and the future Swedish queen’s smile is almost as bright and light as her floral Saloni pleated shirt dress.

It was the perfect summer pick for a birthday celebration.

A Dotty Dress for the Diplomats

A few times a year Crown Princess Victoria attends the diplomatic receptions where she meets with the Ambassadors serving in Sweden. It’s a stately affair—though not white-tie like in the United Kingdom—and the future queen always dresses appropriately.

Take this dotty Malina dress with its colourful pattern and striped cuffs, waist and neckline!

Barbie Pink in California

In February, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel undertook an official visit to California at the request of the government in order to explore partnership opportunities on green transition and other technologies.

While her entire wardrobe was perfectly Victoria, I’m a big fan of this Barbie Pink Zara pantsuit and the neutral accessories as a way to show off her fashion and diplomacy skills.
