The Duchess of Edinburgh steals the show at coronation concert – Royal Central

The Duchess of Edinburgh was having the time of her life at the Coronation Concert.

Nearly every time the camera panned to her in the Royal Box, Sophie could be seen singing and dancing along to the show. One such moment was during Lionel Ritchie’s performance of ‘All Night Long.’

She quickly became a talking point on social media, with many users praising her dance moves and her relaxed nature. Sitting behind her, Mike and Zara Tindall could also be seen dancing—as could her husband, Edward, when he wasn’t busy being upstaged by Kermit the Frog.

Even King Charles and Queen Camilla got into the dancing spirit.

Sophie joined Edward and their two children, Lady Louise and the Earl of Wessex, at the Coronation Concert. Earlier in the day, the royal couple attended a Coronation Big Lunch in Cranleigh.

Edward and Sophie enjoyed coronation chicken pies and met with locals. Edward revealed that the coronation ceremony had been quite emotional and joked about the weather with residents.

Later, they toured a specially-created Coronation Craft Market before visiting a fun fair to chat with more people, and with representatives of the Royal British Legion, the Scouts and the Guides. Sophie is a Patron of the Guides.

They also met with a Coronation Choir for one of their last rehearsals before the big event, telling the choir that it sounded great inside their rehearsal hall and hoped it sounded just as great outdoors.

Sophie was also front and centre at yesterday’s coronation ceremony, seated in the front row in her Royal Victorian Order Mantle and floral headpiece. Edward sported his Order of the Garter Mantle.

The entire Edinburgh family travelled back to Buckingham Palace via carriage and joined the other senior royals on the balcony for a flypast.
