The Duke of York is reportedly “refusing to budge” from his 30-room mansion in Windsor following a The King’s decision to cut his £249,000 annual allowance from the Duchy of Lancaster.

Prince Andrew, who has lived at Royal Lodge for the past 20 years, is understood to have been offered Frogmore Cottage as his official residence – the one time home of the Duke & Duchess of Sussex.

It is thought that Royal Lodge might be a potential home for the Prince & Princess of Wales and their family.

The heir to the throne currently lives in the nearby Adelaide Cottage following their relocation from Central London last year.

Late last year, The King decided that Prince Andrew should no longer be permitted to have an office in Buckingham Palace or use the palace’s address for correspondence.

Prior to stepping down from royal duties in late 2019, the Duke had a number of staff working for him in Buckingham Palace, including a private secretary and press officers.

The Duke kept a low profile at the Coronation of his brother, only appearing inside Westminster Abbey for the service, and not on the balcony of the palace or in the procession.
