Prince Ricardo De La Cerda
Happy 20th Wedding Anniversary to King Charles III and Queen Camilla! Two Kings, Two Queens, and the Heirs of Norway, Romania and Serbia led Royal Guests and Relatives at the Wedding Blessing of the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker-Bowles at Windsor Castle on this day in 2005, 20 years ago, after being delayed for a day so the Prince could attend the Funeral of Pope John II.
The Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker-Bowles were married in a private Civil Ceremony at the Windsor Guildhall, where the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh did not attend, but most other members of the Royal Family, including their respective children, were present.
Afterwards, Royal Guests and Relatives joined the Prince of Wales and new Duchess of Cornwall for the Church of England Service of Prayer and Dedication at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
After the Service, the Royal Family joined the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall on the steps of St George’s Chapel and met with some of the crowds assembled outside. Afterwards, the Queen held a reception at the Castle before the Prince and Duchess left for their honeymoon.
The new Duchess of Cornwall wore an Ana Valentine floor-length embroidered pale blue and gold coat over a matching chiffon gown and a dramatic spray of golden feathers in her hair.
Three photos of the King and Queen were released to mark their 20th wedding anniversary, taken at Villa Wolkonsky just hours after they touched down in Italy for the start of their 4-day state visit to Italy.
