Royal Guests arrive in Athens, 1964

King Constantine II and the Greek Royal Family greeted Royal Guests and Relatives as they arrived in Athens on this day in 1964, 60 years ago, ahead of his Wedding to Princess Anne Marie of Denmark.

The Greek Royal Family received King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid, Crown Princess Margrethe, Princess Benedikte, and Princess Anne Marie as they alighted from the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.

In the evening, a Parade was held in Athens for King Constantine II of Greece and Princess Anne-Marie of Denmark (wearing Van Cleef & Arpels Ruby Necklace), which was attended by members of the Greek and Danish Royal Families.
