Princess Anne is one the the most admired royals in the UK – and now she has a cool new nickname to match.
The UK’s Princess Royal, 73, is loved in Britain and is famous for her no-nonsense attitude and her solid work ethic.
All that was on show as she got off her flight to Sri Lanka earlier today – as the first UK royal to embark on an official overseas engagement this year.
She looked effortless in a huge pair of retro Adidas sunglasses as she and husband Sir Timothy Laurence flew into Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayak to mark the start of their two-day visit.
And her manner when stepping off the plane didn’t go unnoticed by her fans who have christened her “boss lady”.
Taking to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, one user said: “Look at this boss lady; carrying her own bags and big shout out to the sunnies.”
“And she’s even carrying her own bags. That’s why the HRH Princess Royal, Princess Anne is a boss and so loved,” said another.
A third noted: “Yes, Princess Anne really is Princess Boss.
“Coming down the plane carrying bags with both hands risky thing to have done I felt. I for sure can’t do so confidently, need to hold railing. She must be so used to it.”
Others were also quick to pick up on Princess Anne’s confidence as she made her way down the stairs adjoining the aircraft.
They said: “No using one hand to steady herself going down the steps either. That’s pretty darn impressive for a lady that is 73!”
