Royal Family LIVE: Meghan Markle appears to address bitter royal row in new podcast | Royal | News

Meghan Markle appeared to address a long-standing name row with the Royal Family when talking about parents naming their babies in her podcast. The Duchess of Sussex released the final episode of her podcast, Confessions Of A Female Founder, on Tuesday, when she welcomed the founder of shapewear clothing company Spanx and mother-of-four, Sara Blakely.

At some point in the episode, the two women spoke about naming a business, when Meghan said: “You’re like, ‘What do you think?’ It’s no different — I will say this to every woman in the world or every person in the world who’s going to have a child — if you have an idea about what you are going to name that baby, you keep it so close to your heart until that baby is born and it’s named. Don’t ask anyone’s opinion. “It comes after Meghan and Prince Harry’s choice to name their youngest daughter Lilibet – a nickname used for the late Queen Elizabeth – sparked backlash after it was claimed by various reports and experts that the late monarch did not approve it.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stated that they did get permission from the late Queen regarding Lilibet’s name.
