Prince Harry and Meghan Markle surprised royal fans this week as they released their 2024 Christmas card.
The card, which contained six photographs of the couple’s year, including a picture with their children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, read: ” Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation.
“We Wish You a Very Happy Holiday Season and a Joyful New Year.”
While the couple received plenty of praise online, with royal fans wishing them well and commenting on what a “beautiful” family they are, some were not so pleased the word Christmas was not used.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: “It says HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON….it’s not a merry Xmas card!”
Another said: “Rather ironic when his father is head of the Church of England!”
However, the couple were defended by some fans. One wrote on X: “Not everyone celebrates Christmas around this time….some of us celebrate either Festivus, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa etc. etc. Happy Holidays is all inclusive!!”
