Lady Louise Windsor strives to avoid the royal limelight for one key reason, claims a royal expert.
Whilst the 20-year-old continues her studies at the University of St Andrews, she did make an appearance at Trooping the Colour earlier this month.
Although their son didn’t make an appearance, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were joined by their daughter in London on June 15.
Discussing Lady Louise, who has become a well-liked member of the Royal Family, PR expert Alison Lancaster said that she will likely never become a working royal due to knowing she will be “mercilessly analysed” in every aspect of her life.
Speaking to GB News, the co-founder of Pressat opined: “Lady Louise likely knows she would be mercilessly analysed under the world’s biggest microscope – her looks and relationships etc.
“Every candid moment is a potential PR bonfire to contain.”
Discussing further, she added: “It would be a full-time job for a battalion of fixers and crisis pros. This would involve around-the-clock rapid responses, strategic media cultivation, and airtight messaging.”
Following both King Charles and the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnoses, it has been widely speculated that the monarch could promote some of the non-working royals to the Firm.
As well as her cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Lady Louise had been tipped to potentially become a working royal.
Speaking previously about her two children – including 16-year-old James, Earl of Wessex – the Duchess of Edinburgh said that they would likely have to work for a living.
The 59-year-old – who married Prince Edward in 1999 – previously told The Times: “We try to bring them up with the understanding they are very likely to have to work for a living.
“Hence we made the decision not to use HRH titles. They have them and can decide to use them from 18, but I think it’s highly unlikely.”
Louise was all smiles as she braved the rain during King Charles’s birthday parade this month – and royal fans could not get enough of her.
Wowing fans, Lady Louise opted for the same dress that she wore for the King’s Coronation last May.
After noticing Louise was present at the annual event, fans took to social media to express their delight. One fan commented on X: “So lovely that Louise is alongside her parents!”
Another wrote: “Lady Louise is growing up into a stunning young woman. I can’t wait to see what she does with her life.”
