Prince Ricardo De La Cerda
King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain have begun a December State Visit to Italy on Tuesday and the Spanish queen made a bold choice in her wardrobe for Rome, with a wintery look to begin.
While she wore dark neutrals to board the flight to Rome with a black wool coat and navy trousers, Queen Letizia made a 180° fashion flip to an entirely white ensemble during the flight.
The Queen of Spain turned to diplomatic dressing for her arrival in Rome with a perfectly snow white suit from Spanish fashion company Mango.
When the royal couple first arrived, Letizia wore a simple white coat tied with a sash and a white scarf around her neck. Once they were greeted and indoors, she shed her coat for her bright look.
The structured blazer features exaggerated satin lapels, a white button closure and button details on the sleeves. She paired the blazer with the coordinating wide-legged trousers.
Her Majesty wore the suit when she and King Felipe visited the Royal Academy of Spain to meet with 500 guests in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Hispanitas Italiano Association.
The State Visit will take them to Rome and to Milan.
