Queen Camilla has worn her wedding dress to mark a very special date – the 20th anniversary of her marriage to King Charles.
The Queen arrived at the Italian Parliament in the cream coloured coat dress during her State Visit to the country.
Her Majesty selected the outfit for an historic moment as The King became the first British Monarch to address both houses of the Italian Parliament.
The wedding dress was designed by Anna Valentine. It was worn by The Queen for the civil marriage ceremony which took place at Windsor Guildhall on April 9th 2005.
On her wedding day, Queen Camilla also wore a cream coloured Philip Treacy hat. However, that was left behind for her Italian outing and the coat dress had been slightly changed for its reappearance, twenty years on from the wedding, with gold embroidery added by Beth Somerville of The King’s Foundation.
Following the civil wedding ceremony, Queen Camilla changed into a blue and gold full length coat dress, also designed by Anna Valentine, for the blessing ceremony at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor.
King Charles and Queen Camilla’s twentieth has also been celebrated in that very modern royal manner, with social media posts. As the big day dawned, the official Royal Family account shared a photo montage of the couple, set to ‘How sweet it is to be loved by you’.
At Changing of the Guard, the band also made a nod to the special day by playing ‘It Must be Love’ by Madness.
