Happy Birthday to Princess Rajwa Al Hussein of Jordan, who celebrates her 30th Birthday today! The accomplished Saudi Architect received this spectacular emblematic Diamond Tiara when she married the Crown Prince of Jordan last year!
The Tiara, no doubt a wedding gift from King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, was likely made by made by Yan Sicard of FRED and is composed of large modern-cut diamonds alongside delicate Arabic script.
When looking at the tiara, it’s important first to note that Rajwa means “hope” in Arabic. The diamond scroll says, “Rajwa min Allah,” which, in English, means “Hope from God.”
The phrase was inspired by Queen Rania’s words at Princess Rajwa’s henna party, when she said Rajwa was the “perfect answer” to her prayers for Crown Prince Hussein.
Queen Rania herself has a spectacular Arabic Script Tiara, also made by Yan Sicard of FRED, which is composed of scrolls of Arabic script, while Arabic script also features in theDiamond Tiara given to Princess Iman for her Wedding.
We first got a glimpse of the spectacular Diamond Tiara when Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif arrived for the Katb Al Kitab Ceremony to Crown Prince Al Hussein of Jordan at the Zahran Palace.
The new Princess Rajwa continued to wear the Tiara when the Wedding Ceremony was followed by a Procession through the streets of Amman to the Al Husseiniya Palace, where a lavish Reception was held.
That evening, Princess Rajwa also wore the Diamond Tiara for the Banquet celebrating the Wedding at the Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, which was attended by Royal Guests from around the World.
Since the Wedding Banquet was the first White Tie and Tiara Banquet held in Jordan for decades, it is not known when Princess Rajwa will wear the Diamond Tiara in the future, though lets hope it will make an appearance during King Abdullah’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations or if the couple attend Royal Events abroad.
For Princess Rajwa Al Hussein’s 30th Birthday, the Hashemite Royal Court released a portrait of the Princess wearing the diamond earrings from her wedding day.
