Kate Middleton is no stranger to fashionable accessories and the royal tends to opt for footwear that offers both style and comfort. While her wardrobe features an array of designer pieces, she often sports high street brands and has previously worn shoes from Dune.
During her North American tour in 2016, she was spotted wearing a pair of navy raffia wedges from Dune. The Imperia wedges have since been discontinued but we’ve found a very similar pair and they’re on sale.
Originally priced at £85, the Cadance Sling-Back Raffia Wedges are now better than half price at £42. That’s a better deal than the same pair of heels that are on sale for £59 at M&S. Stocked in sizes three to eight, they share the same navy colourway, raffia heel and sling-back style that Kate’s shoes do and are arguably just an updated version of the same model.
The heel comes in at 8cm, giving a lovely amount of height, in turn elongating your legs. If you’re worried about them being uncomfortable, wearer reviews state that the ‘elegant shoes’ are ‘very comfortable’ and ‘ideal for many different events’.
The toe shape has been described as ‘flattering’ and as they have no buckle, one of the few features that differentiates them from Kate’s original pair, you can easily slip them on and off.

Some users love them so much that they are onto their third pair, delighted that they could snap them up with a £43 discount in the Dune sale.
However, they aren’t to everyone’s taste and someone explained: “My only issue is they are a bit squeaky, which isn’t an issue in social situations but is a bit annoying at work!”
If navy isn’t your colour, you can get them in Blush for the same £42 price tag. Marks and Spencer are also known for their comfortable footwear and these Suede Ankle Strap Wedge Espadrilles are by the brand Celtic & Co. for £129. These Suede Closed Espadrille Wedges are £69 from White Stuff and have been described as ‘very comfortable to wear all day at work’.
