In a rather revealing video uploaded to social media this week, Princess Eugenie is seen glancing at Meghan Markle before swiftly turning away as Meghan departed the late Queen’s funeral in 2022.
The unearthed footage shows Prince Harry and Meghan Markle waiting for their car to arrive following the late Queen’s funeral service.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex can be seen standing awkwardly as Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank wait with the rest of the Royal Family.
As the couples stand in silence, Princess Eugenie and Meghan catch each other’s eye, but both women quickly turn away without saying a word to one another.
Prince Harry can also be seen looking around for some kind of recognition from his family members while appearing rather troubled by it.
The video concludes with a visibly perplexed Duke and Duchess of Sussex departing the service after Harry lets out a gasp of air upon entering his car.
The footage, seen above, was uploaded to Facebook by the user Maria Liona with the caption “realising nobody talks to you because nobody trusts you”.
One user wrote: “He [Harry] can look miserable all he wants. He made his bed picking the narcissist over his family, now he can lie in it.”
Another user wrote: “These two can’t be trusted.”
While a third wrote: “Once you lose trust it is very hard to get it back.”
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank had been close friends with the Sussexes since the beginning of their relationship.
The Duchess of Sussex sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in 2021 and opened up about a special Halloween party they attended together in 2016.
Prince Harry came to visit Meghan in Toronto with his cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack, where they hit the town — in disguise.
“The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple,” explained Meghan.
Mentions of Princess Eugenie and Jack are also peppered throughout Harry’s memoir, Spare, and the princess appears in personal photos and videos shown in the ‘Harry & Meghan’ Netflix docuseries, some dating back to the start of the Sussexes’ relationship.
However, the frosty scene between the couples at the late Queen’s funeral could spell the end of the closeness that the foursome once had.
Most recently, Prince Harry sat with Princess Eugenie and Jack during the coronation of his father King Charles, the trio seen happily chatting through the event. Meghan was not in attendance.
Some suggesting that relations have thawed between the two cousins, at least.
